2004 Outstanding Accomplishments of SBC Students:
Elizabeth Hansell of Shokan, Felicity Jaeger of Saugerties, and Meghan
Reynolds of Kingston, have received outstanding honors in their dance studies.
Elizabeth Hansell, daughter of Jane and Steve Hansell of Shokan, is 15
years old and home schooled in the 9th grade.
Elizabeth was accepted, for the second year, into the Washington Ballet Summer Intensive, associated with the Washington School of Ballet.
She was also accepted into Extreme Ballet 2004 at the Kaatsbaan International Dance Center in Tivoli, NY. Auditions for this program are held throughout the country, and only 32 of the most talented pre-professional students are chosen.
Elizabeth is a third time recipient of a Roya Curie Dance Foundation (RCSF) Scholarship to assist in her summer dance studies.
Felicity Jaeger, daughter of Melissa and Christopher Jaeger of
Saugerties, is 8 years old, and home schooled. Felicity was one of the
10 children chosen out of hundreds who auditioned in Saratoga on May 2
to perform with the
New York City Ballet
at SPAC this summer. Felicity will be performing with
the company in Circus Polka.
- Julia Knoth, age 14, attends the Onteora High School and was accepted into the Ballet Regent Summer Dance Program in Saratoga Springs.
- Emma Leigh will attend a Rockette Workshop Intensive this summer in NYC at the Radio City Music Hall and plans to study at Peridance Center.
Meghan Reynolds, daughter of Lori and Wayne Reynolds of Kingston, is 11
years old, attends the Bailey Middle School.
Meghan attended a workshop intensive/mock audition held by the Rockettes at
Radio City Music Hall
and received the highest scores and excellent critiques.
