In Memory of…

Sara taught countless students at the Saugerties Ballet Center from the late 1980’s through 2016. She showed her students patience, love, and encouragement, yet was tough as nails, demanding that everyone be the best they can be. She touched many, many lives. May we keep her spirit alive in our memories and hearts!

Ballet

Sara Miot, joined the staff of ballet instructors at SBC in 1991. She is a former member of the New York City Ballet Company and has danced on Broadway as well as national television. She has been teaching and choreographing ballet in New York City and Ulster County since 1962. Sara is the former owner of the New School of Performing Arts, and currently choreographs for the Ulster Ballet Company.
