Sharon Penz Sharon studied modern dance, choreography and theatre at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she danced with the Christie Harris Dance Co. Since returning to the Northeast 20 years ago, she has worked independently as a dancer, choreographer, teaching artist, and interdisciplinary performer. Sharon’s choreography has been performed at venues throughout the Northeast, including Movement Research in NYC, and she is the recipient of multiple artist’s grants for her work. Sharon is also the co-founder and artistic director of Gnomon Shadow Theater; a visionary performance company that blends dance with live shadow puppetry and original sound scores. She holds an MFA in interdisciplinary arts from Goddard College and is a company member of Lokasparsa Dance Projects.
