SBC Dress Code
Dress code:
~ ensures that a teacher will be able to see a dancer’s alignment and positioning.
~ teaches students discipline, helping with overall focus and energy. By “dressing the part,” dancers feel like dancers.
~ creates unity among the students instead of causing a few students to stand out, much like a school uniform policy.
~ minimizes distractions and helps give classes a unified look

Not only do ballet buns meet the standard expectation and appearance of a dancer, they have a functional purpose too.

~ loose hair and pony tails cause distractions during jumps and turns and they affect a student’s ability to spot
